BRENT MICHAEL DAVIDS, Mohican Nation, is a strikingly accomplished film and concert composer who is awarded by ASCAP, NEA, Sundance, Rockefeller, Chanticleer, Kronos Quartet, Miró Quartet, and the National Symphony, among others. Davids' former film scores include: THE 1920 CLASSIC MYTH: THE LAST OF THE MOHICANS (BBG) Composer; THE WORLD OF AMERICAN INDIAN DANCE (NBC-Sports and 4D Entertainment); DREAMKEEPER (Hallmark and ABC) Associate Composer and Source Music Producer; THE BUSINESS OF FANCY DANCING (Falls Apart) Incidental Music; THE SILENT ENEMY (BBG) Composer; RACCOON & CRAWFISH (4D Media) Composer; TOBACCO FIRST (IPTF & Wabinigay) Composer.

In 2006, the NEA named Davids among the nation’s 29 most celebrated choral composers in its project AMERICAN MASTERPIECES: THREE CENTURIES OF ARTISTIC GENIUS, supporting festivals and tours in all 50 states. As one of only 29 composers listed by the NEA, Davids was selected along with Leonard Bernstein, Harry T. Burleigh, Stephen Foster, Libby Larsen, Chen Yi, and others.

Davids holds Bachelors and Masters degrees in Music Composition from Northern Illinois University and Arizona State University respectively, trained at Redford’s Sundance Institute, and apprenticed with film composer Stephen Warbeck (Shakespeare In Love) on the TV-Miniseries DREAMKEEPER. Davids and his music have been featured on ABC, NBC, CBS, NPR, and NAPT.
